Agera Skin Peel for a fresh appearance

What does Dr. Hallam say about Agera® Skin Peels?

I like to offer my customers the Agera® skin peel and I am the only practitioner to offer this type of skin peel in the Brighton and Hove area.

The Agera® skin peel enhances the skin texture, treats sun damage, reduces lines and acne scars, improves active acne and lessens patch pigmentation.

After the treatment, the skin will look clearer, smoother and brighter. For the best results, I recommend a course of treatments in combination with microdermabrasion.

What is the Agera® skin peel?

The Agera® skin peel, only available at LH Aesthetics in this area, use a mixture of lactic, salicylic and ascorbic acids in the tiniest particles called nanosomes. Nanosomes can penetrate the skin more deeply without sloughing off too many layers of skin like older skin peels, eliminating the side effects of prolonged redness and unsightly peeling.

How does the Agera skin peel work?

Agera® skin peels are available in different strengths and after analysing your skin, I will recommend the right one for your particular skin type and condition.

Each skin peel contains different levels of acids:
bullet  Ascorbic Acid – Stimulates the product of collagen and reduces redness;
bullet  Salicylic Acid – Helps remove dead skin cells and reduces acne;
bullet  Lactic Acid – Softens and exfoliates the skin.

Which areas can be treated?

Agera® skin peels are especially effective for:
bullet  Enhancing the texture of the skin;
bullet  Treating sun damaged skin;
bullet  Reducing acne scars and improving active acne;
bullet  Lessening skin pigmentation;
bullet  Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles;
bullet  Improving skin elasticity and firmness.

How is the Agera® skin peel administered?

Before the Agera® skin peel is applied, the skin is cleansed and a prepping solution is then applied.

The treatment is then evenly applied to the skin using a brush and then a layer of damp gauze is laid over the skin to activate the peel. The skin is kept cool while the Agera® skin peel dries.

After the skin peel has been removed, moisturiser and an SPF are applied to the treated area.

The treatment usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes and subtle but noticeable results can be seen after just one treatment.

How long do the effects of the skin peel last?

The Agera® skin peel stimulates long term production of collagen, so the skin should continue to look fresh and radiant for a quite some time after the treatment.

Depending on your skin condition, I may recommend a course of three or four treatments at weekly intervals in order to maximise the benefits of the treatment.

How safe is the Agera® skin peel?

Side effects from an Agera® skin peel are extremely rare and no serious side effects have been recorded.

Possible minor side effects can include:

bullet  Redness and irritation of the skin;
bullet  Sensitivity to the sun for a few days;
bullet  Flaking and dryness of the skin.

These minor side effects tend to resolve in a couple of days.

    bullet  After the treatment, I will recommend a personalised home care regime to help you get the best from your treatment.
    bullet  Avoid excessive exposure to the sun for a couple of days.
