Non-surgical facelift

As we age, the face starts to droop and the youthful volume diminishes. The natural elasticity of the face diminishes, leading to the formation of wrinkles and creases.

The non-surgical facelift is a way of giving you a more youthful appearance without resorting to invasive surgery. The procedure involves using Botox® and Sculptra® or dermal fillers or a combination of both.

A non-surgical facelift will result in:

· A subtle lift of the overall facial features.
· The appearance of wrinkles, folds and fine lines being reduced.
· The contours of the face being more natural.
· A warmer smile.
· A more invigorated appearance.

Sculptra or Dermal Fillers as part of a Non-surgical Facelift

Prior to commencing the procedure, I will discuss with the patient whether Sculptra® or Dermal fillers will be the most suitable option for them. Sometimes the ideal solution may be a combination of both Sculptra® and Dermal Fillers.

· Filling the temples and the cheeks lifts the face.
· The nasolabial fold, commonly known as smile lines or laugh is lifted.
· The angle of the jaw is lifted.
· The marionettes fold is lifted.

Advantages of a Non-surgical Facelift

· A non-surgical facelift costs a lot less than a traditional facelift.
· No major surgery is required when having a non-surgical facelift. This means it is a much safer procedure and there is not as much downtime as there is with a traditional facelift.
· The effects of a non-surgical facelift are subtler and more gradual.
· The procedure can easily be repeated if required at a later date.
· After having a non-surgical facelift, you can still opt for a traditional surgical facelift at a later date if desired.

Disadvantages of a Non-surgical Facelift

· A non-surgical facelift will not lift the jawline and mid-face as much as a surgical facelift would.
